Fiducia’s principal Danny Maher CFP DipFP has over 20 years in financial services and is a fourth generation local to Far North Queensland.
Danny is a CFP and a practitioner member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), Australia’s peak professional association for financial advisers.
Danny has served on various national FPA committees, as well as the local Cairns Chapter and has filled the role as Chapter Chair over the last ten years.
Danny is recognised as a leading practitioner, not just locally but nationally and has spoken at conferences locally and nationally both for the FPA and also for various dealer groups and licencees.
Danny’s passion is for sport and spending time with his wife Fiona and his two sons, Lachlan and Ryan.

Simon Benson
Senior Adviser
Simon has over 20 years experience as a financial adviser and a further 10 years in agricultural and small business finance. He has been a local for over 30 years and previously from a rural background in Central Queensland.
Simon delivers a broad range of advice service to meet client needs in the far North including Cairns, Tablelands and Mossman. He has a strong focus on service delivery to his clients and advises in all aspects of financial advice including investment and taxation, planning for retirement including SMSFs, Centrelink entitlements and general estate planning advice.
Simon has an outstanding ability help empower his clients to be confident in the management of their financial affairs through clear communication of sometimes complex financial concepts in a simple and concise manner. This is evidenced by the number of long-term client relationships he has fostered. Simon focuses on his client’s key personal and financial priorities to maximise the benefits and ensure outcomes are tailored to their needs.
Simon is a member of the FPA, he has successfully completed his FASEA Financial Adviser Exam accreditation and Diploma of Financial Planning and is currently studying the Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning with Kaplan Professional. Simon holds himself to a high level of professional and ethical standards in his day-to-day duties as a financial adviser.

Paula has over 20 years experience in financial services. Paula has an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning Dip FS (FP) and is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA).
Paula aims to provide personalised and responsible advice suited to your objectives and she believes that sound advice and planning is the key to improving your financial position.
Paula’s interest is travelling. Her favourite country is Japan and she loves everything about this country, from the people to the culture. She was lucky enough to get a scholarship when she was younger where she spent 12 months studying Japanese. While Paula doesn’t use the language anymore, her experience of living there is something she will never forget.

After moving to Cairns from rural south west Queensland in 2017 Sally decided that a change of career choice should accompany the change of scenery and began her career in financial services. New to Cairns Sally has enjoyed meeting the locals and exploring the surrounding areas.
Sally aims to deliver the highest level of service to assist our clients to achieve rewarding outcomes.
An avid animal lover Sally enjoys spending quality time with her dogs and partner.
Sally is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce.
Alana Mulley

Alana is the first face you will see when coming into the office as our Receptionist and Client Services Officer.
While new to financial services Alana has experience in customer service and hospitality, making her coffee’s the best in the office. Seeking a change in career, financial services was at the top of her list after being first introduced as a work experience student in 2009.
Away from work, Alana enjoys camping, simple living and spending time with her friends and family.
